During your session, we’ll create quality family time together so I can capture authentic moments that reflect the love and connection between all of you. While I do take a few posed photos, my approach is all about spontaneity and fun. I aim to preserve the special moments that you’ll cherish forever—moments that are about being yourselves and enjoying each other’s company.

Whether it’s a playful laugh or a tender hug, I’m here to capture those fleeting moments that might otherwise be forgotten. My sessions are all about creating memories, not just images.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

When should I book a session?

I recommend booking your session about 2-4 months in advance. This allows us plenty of time to get to know each other and ensures we can find the perfect date for your family. My spring and summer sessions tend to fill up quickly, so it’s best to reach out as early as possible—usually starting in March. Fall sessions are often booked by mid to late summer, so don’t wait too long to secure your spot! Sessions are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is a 30% non-refundable booking fee to reserve your date. Please note that I do not accept last-minute bookings.

Do you offer mini-sessions?

I do not offer mini-sessions. I believe in the value of taking the time to truly get to know my clients, and mini-sessions don’t allow for that depth. I also find that they aren’t sustainable for my business in the long run. That said, be sure to follow my Instagram pages for updates on any special events or promotions that may come up!

What if it rains?

As an on-location photographer, I always hope for beautiful, sunny days! If the weather doesn’t cooperate and it rains on the day of your outdoor session, no worries. We can always reschedule for the next mutually convenient day. Michigan weather can be unpredictable, so I prefer to wait until the last minute to reschedule, just in case it clears up. For in-home sessions, I typically don’t reschedule due to rain unless the weather is very dark and overcast, in which case, we can choose another day.

What should we wear?

Don’t stress about what to wear—I’ve got you covered! I offer a complimentary styling platform to help you create the perfect family wardrobe. I’ll guide you through the process to make sure everyone looks coordinated and feels comfortable. You’ll be able to choose clothing that works for both the session style and the location, ensuring that everyone feels confident and at ease.

When will I receive my images?

After your session, I take time to select and edit the best images from your day carefully. You can expect to receive your final artwork approximately 4-6 weeks after your session. I do not provide digital images. Each image selected during the ordering appointment will be carefully edited and turned into artwork for your home. This means you’ll receive timeless pieces that you’ll want to display for years to come.
