Hello! My name is Kelsey and I am the sole owner of @kelseycharmaynephotography. I live and work in the Metro Detroit area, also available for travel. I grew up in Ann Arbor and have been a Michigander for twenty-eight years. I am a lifestyle and nature photographer looking to capture the moments that bring joy, life, and any moment in between; I capture moments that last a lifetime for you.

Why Photography?

Since I was in middle school I have always been told I have an eye for photography. The attention to detail it takes, focus, composition, and lighting take practice. I believe that the eye of a photographer cannot be taught and that is something that I am born with. Anyone can edit a photograph to perfection however, a true photographer lets the photo stand by itself.

What's my style?

My style of photography is more candid. What that means is I be guiding you through with prompts and telling you how to pose in a fun natural way to catch that authentic smile of yours. Also, I would be willing to tag along to a family event, take pictures and you wouldn't even know I was there; if that is more your speed. I want you to be as comfortable as possible.

Why don't I get the digital files?

I am not an SD selling business. It's not a sustainable business model for me, as a lifestyle and nature photographer, to sell high-resolution digital files for a couple hundred bucks. If I wanted to do that I would consider myself a hobbyist. I am a professional photographer

Any printed image a client purchases, I will provide as a low-res digital file for their social media and to email to their friends and family. But, the high-resolution files are kept safe with me and are available for purchase anytime.
